A scopitone is a type of jukebox(cinebox) founded in 1991. It was really popular in france and was first made in france. It is a professional sound studio specialising in recording, digisiting of sound sorces and multimedia post-production. The scopitione was very useful during the world war 2.
They were distributed on color 16mm film with a magnetic soundtrack, and were made to be shown on a Scopitone film jukebox. The first Scopitones were made in France in 1960, and the Scopitone craze spread throughout Europe. By the end of the 1960s, they were gone.

Genres Homework!
Two genres I want to focus on are:
Rhythm&Blues
Rap
Rhythm& blues aka RnB is widely listened to all over the world. It provides entertaining music for different age groups.
Most popular artist would be Rihanna, Usher, Keri Hilson. I think this is because they are commonly known and talked about.Also a numerous amount of their tracks have reached no 1 for many weeks in the charts showing that the majority of people enjoy listening to them. It is known that these artists are so popular because audiences such as adolescents like to listen to these sorts of much and send it to each other increasing the ratings and popularity.
Generic conventions of music in RnB normally consists of the typical break-up in a realtionship,money,Love.
Hip hop usually consists of mcing, beatboxing, rap, djing. it is a culture of african american youth music. Well known artisits in this genre are Jay-Z, Lil wayne, Eminem, Snoop dog and Nicki Minaj. Their music have catchy beats Which can be laconic but nowadys the genre hip hop can be accompanied with rap. Young youths like myself like to listen to these artist because they are different from other artists and they know how to bring out their own personalities out which audiences like myself enjoy.

Lipsynching Evaluation!!!
I took part in two lipsynching tasks. They were Bohemian Rhapsody by queen and Common people by Pulp. I enjoyed taking part in this task as it was very fun and engaging and would like to take part in many more activities like this.
What went well?
Both tasks went extremley well. In a group we worked co operatively together sharing ideas which would be good to include in the clip. Team working skills came in handy because we took turns to film and be in the spotlight and what i liked was that we all enjoyed being in the clip and when you are comfortable you tend to add new ideas and tend to make the clip more exciting by including humorous expressions.
In terms of camera angle and shots i think that what was really good was when we used two cameras to film Sabina and Shamima and then edited them together making a smooth cut. We aslo used other shots like long, close up, high angle and over the shoulders hots.
What could be Improved?
I thought that we did really well on our lipsynching task but there are always room for improvments. I think that on the Bohemian Rhapsody what we could have worked on was the "Galileo" part. They were overlapping each other which made the edting difficult when we had to synch them toghether.
Also i think we need to work on time keeping because most of them we run out of time and had to just rush the filming to get it completed on time.
What future advice would you give your future self on effective lipsynching?
I think that to create an effective lipsynching i always need to sing out loud even if my vocals are not on point rather than just miming the words to the song because when looking back on it, it will be obvious that i wasn't singing and which is not what i want. Also not singing out loud will mean that it will be difficult to line the song up with the lyrics of the song you are singing. Adding to this when lipsynching you should always choose a person who is going to be completly comfortable infront of a camera i.e myself. otherwise you will find that there will be no energy coming from the clip for example catchy energetic songs grabs your attention.
Next time i will take more variety of shots like scenary as doing this will avoid long takes of the same shot and prevent viewers getting bored easily.
